MRACLES ARE REAL

 January 25, 2022

Please read this week's email. It's a good one!!

The past couple days have been FULL of miracles. I know now more than ever that this is the Lord's work. He is preparing people for us to find and teach.

It all starts on Sunday. The day started out just like every other day. We went to church and did all the normal missionary things. Sadly, none of our friends attend church  this week... or so we thought. While we were passing the sacrament, we saw a man walk into the chapel and sit in the very very back. That was interesting but nothing too abnormal. We didn't recognize him so after the sacrament was over, we went over and sat by him. We introduced ourselves and began talking. This is when things get crazy. He tells us that he was walking by the church building minding his own business and he felt a "nudge" tell him to go check out that church. He walks into the parking lot and met a member that told him that sacrament meeting was starting right now! He walked on in. He said that right before he came into the chapel he had another thought. He thought "maybe I shouldn't, everyone will judge me for not wearing nice clothes." He came in anyway and I'm so glad he did! We introduced him to our ward mission leader and bishop. We brought him to elders quorum too and he was soaking everything up. I think he really enjoyed his time at church. Before we left, we got his phone number and set up a lesson for Monday. That's only the beginning...

Yesterday we had a lesson with him. We brought our ward mission leader and it was sooo good. This lesson was special and one I will never forget. We gave him a church tour and taught the restoration. We took him around the majority of the building and then we see our mission president in one of the classrooms!! We take him over to him and they had a way good conversation. I couldn't believe president metts was right there! There are no coincidences. President asked him about his daughter and family. He then gave a sweet testimony on eternal families and the spirit was so strong. We said bye to president and walked over to the baptismal font. We taught about baptism and he said he was ready. We put him on date for February 6th!!! He is so sincere and I'm so excited for him!! Isn't that crazy!? That's basically the whole story.

We met a man on Sunday and put him on date the next day! Miracles are real. One part of the story I haven't mentioned yet was  on Saturday night. Me and Elder Stanger both said in our personal prayer to find someone to.teach this week. I've been studying a lot on prayer and how I can be better. This was TOTALLY an answer to prayer!

The rest of the week was good too. We had a zone meet and greet with the stake president. I had to conduct which was a little nerve-wracking. It all worked out though. We did a TON of dot hopping for a neighboring ward because there a lot of homeless people in that ward. They had us visit like 300 people in 4 days. We split it up between 4 different companionships so it wasn't too bad. Such a great week!

Love you all,

The Tacoma Fog

January 18, 2022

This week was so good. Weirdly, there was a lot of fog... like a TON. It was a little sketchy driving everywhere but it's all good. I don't know what caused it but it was foggy this entire week!

We got our transfer calls yesterday. Both me and Elder Stanger are staying in TacNorth!! That very exciting. I'm stoked.

We are teaching this women that is super elect! It has been really hard to stay in contact with her, so we decided to randomly stop by on Thursday. She answered and we had the best lesson ever. A little background, she has 4 boys that have severe down syndrome. She is a saint. You have to be a special person to raise boys like that. Huge respect for her. We read 3 nephi 11 with her and talked about Baptism. She had some good questions about her kids and if they needed to be baptized or not. She also asked about the age of accountability. We got to.open up Moroni 8 and really.help her out. She was loving it. At the end, she asked us what it would look like if an adult hypothetically wanted to be baptized!! We were shocked but also so happy. The spirit was very strong. We committed her to coming to church this week. Good things to come!!

We had pday today and went bowling! That was really fun. All the brand new missionaries were in the gym for orientation so we couldn’t ball up. I'm way excited for this next transfer!
Love you all,

Quarantined....but not too bad

January 4, 2022

First off, happy new year! This week has been crazy... and also extremely not crazy haha

Welp... I got the covid. We actually didn't get tested but I'm pretty sure I did. Me and my companion started getting sick on Thursday and have been quarantined ever since. I'm feeling a lot better now which is good. There's actually SOO many missionaries in our mission that are sick right now. That's not good!

We have had to get pretty creative with our finding efforts. We did a lot of Facebook finding and calling people. One time we took a walk and helped a neighbor shovel some snow! (We were feeling a lot better at that point). That was cool.

This week weirdly went by really fast. The ward has been super nice to us. The bishops wife has brought over goodies to us a couple times. Its so nice to have a good ward that truly cares about the missionaries! There are sisters in our ward  and they were healthy for a while, but there sick now too. Everyone's sick haha!

Things are looking up now. We are feeling good and hopefully can get back to work asap. I'll keep ya posted. Hope everyone's staying healthy and loving life! My prayers go out to anyone trapped inside... there is hope!! Haha love yall
